1. The short version
This website sets no analytics cookies and no advertising cookies. There is no tracking, no profiling and no advertising technology on this site. The only cookies that may appear are strictly-necessary ones set by Cloudflare, the security and delivery layer that serves this site, to protect it from bots and abuse.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device through your browser. They can be used for many purposes — keeping you signed in, remembering preferences, measuring audiences, or targeting advertising. UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, alongside the UK GDPR) requires consent for cookies that are not strictly necessary for delivering a service you have requested.
3. Cookies this site sets
We set no cookies of our own. Cloudflare's security layer may set a small number of strictly-necessary cookies when it needs to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated traffic:

These cookies do not identify you personally to us, are not used for analytics or advertising, and exist solely to deliver the site securely.
4. Why there is no consent banner
Because the site sets only strictly-necessary cookies, UK law does not require consent for them, and therefore no cookie consent banner is currently required or shown. We consider consent banners for sites that don't track people to be noise, and we would rather not add one until the law or our cookies change.
5. If we ever add non-essential cookies
We commit that before any non-essential cookie (for example, an analytics cookie) is ever introduced on this site, we will:
- add a proper consent mechanism that blocks such cookies until you opt in;
- update this policy and its table with the new cookie's name, provider, purpose and duration; and
- update the “last updated” date at the top of this page.
6. Controlling cookies in your browser
All major browsers let you view, block and delete cookies. You can usually find these controls under Settings → Privacy (or similar) in Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, including options to block third-party cookies or all cookies, and to clear cookies already stored. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies may cause Cloudflare's security checks to re-run more often, but the site will otherwise work normally.
